Naturpathic Medical Doctors are trained as primary care physicians and receive a doctorate degree at a 4-year accredited Naturopathic Medical College, very much equivalent to other medical schools.  However in addition to basic sciences, naturopathic training also include nutrition, homeopathy, botanical and herbal medicine, hydrotherapy, physical medicine, acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, as well as mind-body medicine.
